The Transportation Infrastructure Delivery section within the Integrated Infrastructure Services department enhances the lives of Edmontonians through the way we design and deliver transportation projects. Key projects that our team have delivered on would include: Mill Creek Ravine Pedestrian Bridges, Terwillegar Park footbridge, Walterdale Bridge, 53 Avenue over Whitemud drive Bridge, Victoria trail Bridges, 102 ave Bike Lanes and rehabilitation of Edmonton Arterial road network. Reporting to the Director of Transportation Infrastructure Delivery, you will oversee the activities involved with transportation infrastructure delivery, detailed design and implementation on projects that involve arterial roads and bridges for the City of Edmonton.
The Transportation Infrastructure Delivery section is seeking an engaged, inspiring and collaborative leader to coach, mentor and lead a team of project managers in project management excellence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with a team to inspire results through staff by providing clear direction, coaching and mentoring
Promote and encourage teamwork and innovation in the delivery of multiple transportation infrastructure projects
Integrate and work horizontally across the branch and various lines of business, processes, and functions to achieve outstanding outcomes for the City of Edmonton
Senior level of experience relating to all aspects of project management, including comprehensive planning experience
A proven ability to meet deadlines, work effectively under public pressure, negotiate and resolve conflicts
Ability to collaborate and build trust, obtain input, understanding, and participation from staff
Strong public speaking and communication skills, including oral, written, technical and contractual techniques
Excellent negotiation and mediation skills, ability to quickly assess complex situations for risks/costs and make sound decisions based on judgment
Excellent understanding of design standards and principles related to transportation infrastructure
Experience managing and working with external consultants
Demonstrated leadership that embodies the cultural commitments of the City of Edmonton of: Safe; Helpful; Accountable; Integrated; and Excellent, and inspire the same in others

Hours of Work: 36.9 hours per week
Salary: $110,090.00 - $137,619.00 (Annually)
